About Us

Bonney Healthcare Group is a South Australian, family owned health care provider. It  was initially established with its Christies Beach Residential Care Services on 31st March, 1991.

In the following years it went on to secure Klemzig Residential Care Services on March 1st, 2004; and Hahndorf Residential Care Services on September 1st, 2006.

This incremental process allowed Bonney Healthcare Group Management a hands on, individually tailored, customer focused approach in providing and ensuring quality care for our residents and stakeholders during and after this transition.

All three sites are smoke-free environments (including buildings, car parks and grounds).

Bonney Healthcare Group's resident-centred approach, is depicted in the Organisational Chart Circle. In this model, residents and relatives provide direct input into the development and planning of future directions of the organisation, through a vast array of forums including, but not restricted to:

• Quality Assurance and OHS&W meetings
• Resident/Relative Meetings
• Menu Committee Meetings
• Family Case Conferences
• Care planning
• Praise/Complaint/Suggestion System

This unique resident-centred approach has made Bonney Healthcare Group recognised as a leader of holistic, innovative and responsive aged care services. Both residents and relatives are directly involved in all aspects of care needs, enhancing the resident's independence, choice and decision making, and ultimately resulting in an improvement to their quality of life.

Bonney Healthcare Group acknowledges and recognises the commitment and skills of all its employees. The implementation of Communication and Leadership education is a unique initiative in South Australia and has developed the strengths of individuals in the organisation, enhancing teamwork and interpersonal communication. Key personnel have also been assigned portfolios of care, creating areas of expertise, resulting in the optimum level of care being provided.  Furthermore, external health professionals, have been brought in to provide training and upskilling in areas, as per the Aged Care Standards, such as:
